DNR arrests Knox County hunters

Wed, December 09, 2015

seized knox co bucks

The Illinois DNR reports it has finished a three-county investigation into unlawful taking of whitetail deer that has resulted in 13 charges being filed in Knox County.

As a result of the arrests, six whitetail heads, one Hoyt compound bow, 292 pounds of boned out venison and one landowner deer permit were seized.

Officials planned to donate the venison to Illinois Sportsmen Against Hunger.

We will have updates soon, I hope.

They should not be referred to as “hunters”. They are scumbag killers/poachers. Calling them hunters is an insult to all of the good guys/gals afield. Anyone can pull the trigger and kill but it takes a special set of skills and ethics to be called a hunter.
